René Bažanowski is a graduate of the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno in English Language Teaching and Arts.
Since 2005, he has been relentlessly gaining and inextricably sharing his rich experience with students of his language school, secondary school, university, and the teaching of practical and professional English at the University of Ostrava and since 2017 at the PRIGO University. Occasionally he is engaged in simultaneous interpreting (conference proeBiz, Colours of Ostrava Meltingpots), professional translations and script creation. He organized dozens of trainings, action workshops and team building for clients from the corporate sphere.
In teaching, he applies modern methodological knowledge fulfilling Comenius winged “school by play”. A playful and informal environment helps motivated people to eliminate unnecessary fear of expression so that students can experience a state of optimal learning, i.e. FLOW.
René draws his sometimes-provocative enthusiasm for teaching, among other things, from memories of the experience of the tour guide and especially from fleeting moments of local fame on the boards of a willing theatre, whether in Brno or Havířov, in roles played in English or Czech. Last but not least, it is worth mentioning the groundbreaking experience of leaving the personal comfort zone in the form of a year’s stay in Manchester, including the CAE English course at Altrincham College (1994).
