Mgr. Alena Kozlová, BA

Alena Kozlová is a research fellow at the Department of Business Economics and Law at the PRIGO University. She graduated with an English Master’s degree in International and European Law from the Department of International and European Law of Palacký University in Olomouc. She has been studying a PhD program in the same field since 2020. She completed her previous studies at Malmö University in Sweden, where she specialized in international law in human rights. Her research focuses mainly on EU law (respect for and enforcement of European law, the EU constitutional system, the position of European values, criminal law) and European integration and current EU issues (Brexit, the rule of law crisis). She also focuses on public international law, such as the international liability of the state for infringements and international criminal and humanitarian law with an overlap in international relations and geopolitics. 

During previous years, she also completed a six-month internship at the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic at the United Nations Office in Geneva, participated in the 42nd international round of the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition in The Hague, an exchange semester at the Law Faculty of Western Sydney University in Australia andaA training simulation camp Peira PF UPOL focused on applying humanitarian law in cooperation with the armed forces of the Czech Republic.
